Resilient Wheels
Well attuned combinations of wheel tyres and elastomers
The mileage and overall performance of resilient wheels is strongly influenced by the quality of the wheel tyre and the elastomer product it is fitted with. To reduce transmission of vibration originating from the wheel-track contact surface, a well attuned combination of wheel tyres and rubber parts is of great importance for overall performance of the wheel and the need for maintenance. As resilient wheels also reduce noise emission and significantly improve passenger comfort, they are a crucial component for light rail applications.

Resilient wheel kits typically consist of the center wheel, rubber components, the wheel tyre and clamping ring. As our wheel tyres and rubber components are best used in combination for optimum performance, we engineer and deliver complete resilient wheel kits according to specific requirements of both OEM and MRO clients. The properties of all components can be customised for clients to meet specific applications and operating conditions.

Our state-of-the-art equipment allows us to test a wide range of metallic, composite and even elastomeric materials in our own facilities or on-site. Analysis of the acquired data with advanced software allows the detection of anomalies (e.g. in product batches) and generation of measurement reports.
